I'm a refugee from Tumblr, much like the influx of new people that are undoubtedly visiting and joining Newgrounds right now.

However, even before Tumblr enacted the adult content ban, I was looking for a new place to post my artwork.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Dirk Hooper and I've been an artist since I was five years old. I was obsessed with comic art at the time which eventually led to a brief comic art career in my 20s.

I began a career as a professional photographer soon after and walked away from hand-drawn art for about 15 years. 

Now I'm back and I'm more active than ever before. I'm doing commissioned artwork and business is brisk. I'm also doing illustration work for several websites, book covers, and other projects. I'm also doing painting and personal work which I'm glad to share here.
